Summer Reading at KPLD

Next year's summer reading program is just around the corner! We are excited for another year of reading and exploring with you all this summer.  Each year we take the summer to find fun and innovative ways for families to enjoy reading & connect with the Kaneville community!

Next summer, we’re taking exploration and adventure to the next level with the Summer Reading Program theme, “Read, Renew, Repeat” Our kick-off date will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 and the program will run through the end of July. We strive to encourage youth (and adults) to read more by offering incentives such as treats, prizes, activities, and recognition.

Each week we have crafts and activities planned, with some pop up programs a couple of times throughout the summer. Participants of all ages track their reading and submit logs each week in return for raffle tickets and prizes! Our summer reading challenges are offered free of charge to Kaneville children, teens, and adult readers.

If you miss our kick-off date on June 8th, you can still sign up with one of our librarians at the front desk any time during the summer. We can't wait to get you reading!

Thank You to our Donors!

We are so grateful for our loyal patrons and local businesses who contribute both monetary and in-kind donations. This program would not succeed without your support.
